Roshan Karki, an eight year old boy, abandoned by his father after his birth lives with his mother Parvati in a rented room. Parvati works at three to four households as cleaning lady to make their ends meet, she earns around Rs.3,000/- per month from which she can hardly meet their daily needs. However even in this grim scenario she finds courage to send her son to school, since she understands the need for education to enlighten one’s life. Parvati believes that education will help her son get a good job which in turn helps him live a respectable life in future. Parvati struggles each day to pay for her son’s school fees, with hike in house rent and other household necessities, she wonders whether she can manage for her son’s education, she hopes and prays every day that she gets some help at least to educate her son.
